Frequently asked

Things people wonder first.

What happens when I call?

A trained Mental Health Responder picks up. They'll listen, without judgement, and help you think about what might help next. No script, no clock.

I'm not in crisis — can I still call?

Absolutely. You don't have to be at rock bottom to deserve support. A chat is reason enough.

Can I just turn up at The Centre?

Yes. No appointment, no referral. Mon–Fri, 9–4, 10b Abbey Walk, Selby.

Do you offer counselling?

We're not a clinical service, but we can listen, signpost and walk alongside you while you wait for NHS support.
